2 years passed since last chapter. Pharaoh had dreams that trouble him and he looked for answers.
His cupbearer now remembered Joseph and told Pharaoh.
Joseph first declared that it is his God who had the ability.
So, Pharaoh shared his dream and Joseph explained the meaning. But this time, different with other dreams, God gave wisdom to avoid the omen depicted in the dream.
Joseph shared his solution and at that very moment, the 30 years old slave prisoner became the number 2 in Egypt!!
My takeaway I took from Dr Henry’s email all the way from New York to me this dawn. Though he preached from Exodus, this very chapter’s reading is also about God’s plan, timing, provision, His faithfulness. Peace (and tears) flowed as I read.

I am preaching next Sunday from Exodus 16:2-15. And the word God gave me is this:
1, God has a plan for us.
2. He will provide all we need to fulfil that plan. We need no other provision.
3. I need not ask God to fulfil somebody else’s plan in my life – for his plan for me and His provision for that plan are all that I need to be pleasing to him.
